Our students of 2020-2023 batch, Dr. Dinesh Y, Dr. Sandra Sagar and Dr. Sangamithra attended the student exchange program with University of Dundee in February 2023. They were trained in various aspects and clinical implications of Forensic Dentistry.
DUNDEE UNIVERSITY, DUNDEE, SCOTLAND
The students of 2018-2021 batch, Dr. Mithra, Dr. Krishnapriya and Dr. Deepa were the first batch of students to attend student exchange programme at the University of Dundee for exclusive Forensic Dentistry training from November 2019 to December 2019. They attended journal clubs, seminars and had discussions on varied aspects of Forensic odontology by Dr. Scheila Manica. They visited the dissection hall, anthropology lab and had discussion with the department heads regarding the importance of forensic odontology. Also they had brief interaction with Prof. Peter Mossi, the dean of the institution who guided them throughout this exchange programme. Dr. Gowri Vijay Reesu gave them an insight on the importance of research in the field of forensic odontology. They also had an exclusive hands on training on ‘Disaster Victim Identification’ course at the University of Dundee.
